    the fifth high-end personnel exchange and technology project fair will be held november 26-28 in jinan, shandong province, through the joint effort of the ministry of human resources and social security of the people’s republic of china, the state administration of foreign expert affairs and the people’s government of shandong.

    combining the three functions of personnel exchange, technology project cooperation negotiation and exhibition of achievements, the fair offers a bridge for highly talented people from home and abroad who intend to come to the province to start businesses, to introduce high-tech programs or to promote patent technology. it also provides a platform for enterprises or civil institutions to attract high-end talent or conduct technology exchanges.

    fair content:
    1. overseas personnel exchange and technology program consultation
    about 150 high-end overseas graduates with capital, technology and patent programs are invited to discuss business with local enterprises or other organizations in need.

    2. foreign experts’ tour in shandong
    about 50 high-level foreign experts will come by invitation to bring technology programs or conduct guidance mainly in the fields of service, energy-saving and emission reduction, and other high-tech industries.

    3. program negotiations with post-doctorates
    about 100 domestic post-doctorates expert in patents and technology are invited to have discussions with local organizations in need.

    4. domestic high-level talented personnel recruitment and technology program exchange
    talented people with ’s degrees or above with technology projects are also welcome to the fair.

    5. international talents and returned overseas graduates achievement exhibition
    6. commending excellent returned students studying overseas who are making start-ups in shandong
    7. qilu friendship prize award ceremony
    about 20 foreign experts will be awarded for their outstanding contributions to shandong.

    registration qualification and methods

    log on to shandong overseas personnel and program information net at www.sdlx.sdrs.gov.cn.

    overseas graduates should have a ’s degree or above, possess scientific research achievements or patent technology, or be able to invest, make start-ups or introduce technology cooperation programs in shandong. domestic post-doctorates should have scientific research achievements or a patent or hold a technology program and should also be working in the field at present or have finished research in their field.

    deadline for registration is november 10, 2008.

    domestic talent with ’s degree or above can participate without registration in high-level talent recruitment and technology program exchange.

    the preparation committee of the event will provide an exhibition booth, accommodations during the event and reimbursement for part of the traveling expenses for overseas graduates and domestic post-doctorates participating personally in the event, and reimbursement of all international and inbound traveling expenses and accommodation in china for participating foreign experts.
    an assistant will also be available during the event, responsible for information and material collection.
